Streamlined reordering for returning customers through one-click checkout, making on-the-go orders fast and effortless.
This case study explores how I designed a streamlined mobile app that feels both familiar and fresh—built fully from concept to micro-interaction. It exemplifies my full-stack design signature: research-led insights, branded systems, and delight woven into the small details.
For many #favburger fans, visiting the same spot and ordering the same meal is a ritual. Interviews revealed that most customers visit once or twice a month and consistently reorder their favorites. The challenge was clear: streamline reordering for loyal customers while making on-the-go orders fast and effortless, even in noisy or distracting environments.
I designed the app end-to-end, starting with customer research and translating insights into an initial concept. From there, I developed the branding, design system, flows, icons, and micro-interactions that made the experience both intuitive and delightful. To reduce friction, I prioritized clear visuals, large tap areas, and minimized steps, and I used HiFi prototyping early so users could react to a realistic experience. Usability testing drove key refinements — replacing confusing labels (“Fast Order”), enabling customizable order sequences, and refining quick-add buttons. Each iteration balanced function with personality, turning routine ordering into a moment of ease and connection.
The final concept delivered a one-tap reordering flow that gave customers confidence and speed on the go. By combining brand expression with micro-interactions, the design went beyond efficiency to spark small moments of delight, reinforcing customer loyalty. Beyond solving the immediate challenge, the app established a scalable foundation — with its design system, branded identity, and evolving features like voice commands and location services — ready to grow with customer needs.
